Who We Are

  • If given a choice, most people prefer to die at home rather than a hospital or nursing home.  However, end-of-life care can become over-whelming for a caregiver, particularly in the final weeks and days. Not everyone has family or companions who can be present and provide hands-on care during this delicate and vulnerable time.
  • For Hospice-enrolled patients, GGH is an alternative solution to dying in the hospital or transferring from home to nursing home when time is measured in days to short weeks.

Experienced and Supportive

  • Often GGH direct care staff have worked (or currently work) for a Hospice organization. Others have gained first-hand experience through being a caregiver for someone who was chronically ill.  We provide knowledgeable companion care--not medical level care.
  • All care staff have a sincere interest in providing respectful and dignified care to others in this special time of need.
  • We are not affiliated with any single Hospice provider and welcome the opportunity to help your Hospice Team continue your individualized care plan.

Caregivers You Can Trust

  • Care is provided in a private home setting. The AFC admini-strator lives on site. She provides direct care & personally selects  individuals to join the GGH staff whom she would choose to care for a member of her own family.
  • No one should have to worry that they will be in distress, or alone, when they die. We have only one chance to make this transition meaningful and peaceful and that is our sincere hope for those entrusted to our care.
  • All staff have passed State mandated background and fingerprint checks.

Whom do we serve?

*All Guests must be enrolled in the Hospice of their choice to be considered.

*If an individual's care and symptoms could be managed safely at home, by a non-medical caregiver, they might be appropriate for GGH.
